Why is Global education important?
In a world that is constantly connected with each other through the Internet, social networking, and collaborative international business opportunities, educators need to make sure their students are ready to be global citizens when they leave school and enter the workforce. Global connections provide students with an authentic audience, a way for them to receive feedback on critical ELA skills such as communication, writing, reading, and listening to others. Additionally, by reaching out to citizens in other countries and states, students are exposed to other cultures and viewpoints, become aware of adversity in the lives of other teens, and can attempt to foster peace amongst a new generation.
